How To Launch Advertising Campaign For Your Blog.
I had wrote an introduction about marketing a new blog that covered four steps so far.
Choose a domain name
Establish some form of joint venture
Start networking
Launch viral content initiative
Today, I bring your attention to the last strategies before we cover Phase 2 in marketing strategies for your blog.
On contrary to buy an ads space to kick start your blog, exist many resources that almost free or zero cost to advertise your blog. For some a small amount may be out of reach, but I strongly advise if you already made some money from your advertising, you should allocate some for advertising.
I received a few e-mail asking me what happen to social media roles in networking post, had I missed it? An increasing spending of 169% by big firm on social media marketing had made this medium an advertising media.  Again, a few e-mail think I should had wrote a little deeper. We will look into a few cases linked to that strategy before I bring your attention into Phase 2.
Blogrush - Cost : Free
I had touched cross-branding in establishing some form of joint venture. I want you to look at Blogrush. Blogrush is a FREE syndication network for your blog post. For every other blog post headline you show at your website, your blog post headline appear at other people websites based on their keyword. I had find it very useful since blogrush will report to me what is the top 12 of my blog post that appear at other people website.  It give me an opportunity to capitalize on this blog since this blog post will be the most likely candidate for my viral content initiative.
Stumbleupon - Cost : Free
The great thing about stumbleupon it can start an organic flow of traffic to your blog.  For some techniques on how to use stumbleupon, you can read a post by me or further reading you can head-up here.  If you use Blogrush, you can see your top 12 post and choose one of those as your landing page.
Digg - Cost : Free
Digg user don’t click on ad. You need to craft your post accordingly to Digg. I find this tip very helpfull when I want to post for Digg. So does this one. I like to reiterate when you wrote for Digg don’t make it look and feel like a “linkbait” because you risk being your content get “bury” by other viewer.
Technorati - Cost : Free
Technorati is a search engine specifically for blogs and it enables visitors to find content quickly and easily by searching for related keywords on their website. There are now over 55 million blogs listed with Technorati and its becoming more and more popular. Even if your blog is just a few days old, you still can get your blog listed and indexed immediately as compared to normal traditional search engine that takes months. I use Simple Tag plugin to generate my technorati tag.
Adword - Cost : Minimal $0.01 per click
Most recently Google Adword revise there Google Keyword tool thus making keyword selection more relevant. Many blogger had successfully used adword to launch their blog. The best thing of Adword you can target specific reader by geography, by content, interest and website.
Facebook - Cost : Minimal $0.01 per click
Darren had recently tried Facebook and achieved some succcess. Facebook Ads allows you to run ads that target certain demographics and interest groups. Ads can either be bought on an impression basis or you can pay for them per click for as little as 0.01 cent per click.
Blog Advertising Network - Cost : Varies
Only 25 percent of internet user (32 million) read blog but they tend to influence others thinking. Since blogs vary in size, approach, and ad opportunities, you can advertise directly on a blog that reaches your target market or through an advertising network such as BlogAds or Pheedo.
The trick is your banners and text copy must be contextually relevant. As users visit often, it’s important to change ad content frequently to prevent impression fatigue. Suggested option is create a dialogue with a series of related ads.
