Should Your Blog Content Goes Mobile?

Submitted by Hamdani Amin on Wednesday, 17 September 2008One Comment

While it’s maybe to early to raise this question, I think it’s time because all the while our concentration and creation of only focus on “desktop viewing” or “per sitting viewing”. I had also raise this question in the wake of Google move to introduce “Android” enable device, a direct competitor to Apple Iphone.

The introduction of Google Android and Google Chrome within a month confirm strategy to take over the middle ware to the final web end user. Google will not make any revenue from selling application but pass through any revenue to the developer or the carrier. But will make from Android market place similar to Aps Store which currently hosted about 3,000 application. While the next question will be which one to choose, both definitely have web browser that enable web surfing on the move. RSS already delivered by email and you can access your email on the move.

As with introduction of Aps Store and Android Market Place, there is an opportunity both for developer and content writer at least in two occasion.

Opportunity - Power Partner.

Yesterday I had push forward another idea of fusion marketing. I think a similar arrangement can be reach both between the hardware manufacturer, application developer, the carrier and content writers. I can think of one example how this relationship can be forge:

  • The carrier provide platform for deployment,
  • The publisher in this case, provide access to the application deployment,
  • Developer create their content
  • writer become the marketing agent by providing fair and accurate representation at their .

Why I think developer should work in hand with content owner? It is because the possible reach of and the initial up-take for such device still not certain yet.

Platform Diversification.

had been promoted as the final frontier of mode of accessing the internet. But up until the introduction of software that can render a proper web experience on mobile device, content need to be adjusted to suit mobile viewer.

Now with the squable between I-Phone and Android enable phone, we will get a mobile browser to extend our platform. will introduce Chrome alternative similar to chrome but for mobile device. This will enable your to be viewed by mobile user therefore open up to more potential revenue for you.

So back to the question..

Should your content goes mobile? Now that I leave to you.
